Chicken Shop Date licensed its final season to Netflix
New episodes and part of the back catalog reached the streamer the same day they dropped on Amelia Dimoldenberg's channel as the twelve-year series prepared to end.
Chicken Shop Date ends its twelve-year run on YouTube with a last season that Netflix carries in parallel, keeping fresh episodes on Amelia Dimoldenberg's channel while the streamer builds a library around her awkward first-date interviews over fried chicken.
The finale season premiered October 2 on YouTube and on Netflix at the same time.
Dimoldenberg has posted 115 episodes since the first self-released installment, booking guests such as Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow, Louis Theroux, Central Cee, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Netflix also licensed earlier episodes from that catalog, though it was not clear whether the deal covered all 115 dates or only selected high-profile interviews.
"From self-releasing our very first episode of Chicken Shop Date to partnering with Netflix, this journey has been all about connecting directly with people who love the show," Dimoldenberg said in a statement.
Her Formula 1 interview series Passenger Princess was not part of the Netflix arrangement described for Chicken Shop Date.
