Danny Duncan rode with street drifters in Tokyo who dodge undercover police targeting illegal drifting.

The drivers said they map police movements and wait for shift changes before going out. One told Duncan he had been arrested for marijuana, not for drifting. Another said he had drifted for about 12 years, almost every night, despite heavy police presence.

They described the enforcement as undercover units rather than regular patrol cars. Duncan filmed from a car the group said ran a stock engine making about 350 horsepower.

When the undercover officers left at shift change, the drivers went out to drift.
