EDP445 arrested on sex-crime charges in Kern County
Bryant Moreland was taken into custody near Las Vegas after prosecutors reopened a case that stalled following the 2021 Predator Poachers sting.
Bryant Moreland, known online as EDP445, was arrested and charged with sex crimes in Bakersfield, California, Chris Hansen reported on November 4, 2026. Hansen said the Kern County District Attorney’s Office issued a warrant and that the Kern County Sheriff confirmed Moreland was taken into custody near a dialysis clinic in the Las Vegas area.
Detectives traveled to Nevada to interview Moreland before extradition proceedings, Hansen said. He did not name specific counts, bail, or a first court date.
Prosecutors moved after Mike Clum’s documentary The Sick Mind of EDP445, which paired Hansen with Moreland and revisited the 2021 encounter. Hansen said Moreland’s on-camera statements in the film gave investigators enough to seek the warrant once the district attorney’s office took another look at the file.
Moreland built a large following with Philadelphia Eagles rants and shock clips before YouTube removed his channels. In April 2021, Alex Rosen and Predator Poachers used an adult decoy posing as a 13-year-old; Moreland arrived at a Bakersfield apartment and was confronted on camera in an episode that became known as the cupcake incident. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office investigated that sting but filed no charges.
