Greg Stoker said rural data centers serve U.S. military operations

He is running for Congress in Texas District 31, where planners routed an AI corridor from Dallas toward San Antonio.

Greg Stoker said rural AI data centers across the United States now serve both commercial cloud work and military operations. The former Army Ranger called the sites dual-use facilities that expand the national security state beyond environmental and water fights.

Stoker is running for the Green Party nomination in Texas Congressional District 31 on a nonpartisan platform. Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan brought him on 5CAST as the district faces high-voltage lines and new data centers along what he called an AI superhighway from Dallas through Austin toward San Antonio, starting at Round Rock.

He said Palantir employed AI targeting data over the past two years to expand strike packages in Gaza, southern Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. Predictive policing models tested during displacement in Gaza would migrate home as force multipliers when scarce water and power push Americans toward unrest, he argued.

Stoker tied the buildout to ICE warehouse purchases and detention contracts with Geo Group and Core Civic at fifty to ninety dollars per bed. He said ICE now deploys the same spyware and espionage gear tested on Palestinians in the West Bank.

Stoker warned that federal framing of data centers as critical infrastructure means protests could draw terrorism charges. He cited the Stargate AI campus in Michigan, which he said local officials blocked before the project pushed through anyway.

Trade press has documented that AWS facilities in the United Arab Emirates were destroyed during the March 2026 clash with Iran, when ballistic missiles and drones overwhelmed Gulf air defenses. Stoker pointed to that strike as proof that rural U.S. campuses share the same targeting logic once military workloads sit beside civilian cloud tenants.

The general election in Texas District 31 is Nov. 3, 2026. Stoker faces Republican incumbent John Carter and Democrat Justin Early on a platform that links Gaza surveillance, ICE detention, and the district's data center corridor.
