Informa folded VidCon into Cannes Lions and left Anaheim
The U.S. footprint moves to Insight to Impact events starting in Denver in October 2026.
VidCon will no longer run as a standalone June gathering at the Anaheim Convention Center, where it has anchored the creator calendar since 2012. Informa, which bought the convention from Paramount Global in 2024, is folding the brand into its Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity portfolio under the name VidCon x Lions Creators.
Informa said the pairing ends a scheduling clash. Cannes Lions and VidCon both traditionally landed in June, so the same parent company was competing for speakers and ticket buyers. Cannes Lions has added a dedicated creator track as agencies and brands show up alongside creators.
In the United States, VidCon x Lions Creators will ride with Informa's Insight to Impact Festival. That series opens in Denver in October 2026 and moves to Nashville in 2027.
VidCon vice president and business lead Sarah Tortoreti said joining Lions would let the event amplify its mission on a global scale. The combined format is set to debut at Insight to Impact in Nashville in fall 2027.
