YouTube tested a $20 floor for Partner Program payouts
A random sample in the United States, India, and Indonesia can cash out at one fifth of the usual AdSense floor starting with October payments.
YouTube said it is temporarily lowering the minimum payment threshold for Partner Program earnings from $100 to $20, or the local currency equivalent, in an October 26 post on the platform’s test-features thread.
The change applies starting from October 2026 payments for a randomly selected group of creators in the United States, India, and Indonesia. Creators in the experiment receive a notification and can track updated payment activity in YouTube Studio on mobile.
Partner Program members outside that sample keep the standard $100 payment threshold for AdSense for YouTube accounts reported in U.S. dollars. YouTube lists those revenue milestones in its Partner Program payment guide.
Anyone in the test who wants a higher bar can raise the payment threshold in AdSense for YouTube. The experiment does not change who qualifies for the Partner Program.
