YouTube expanded Stations into podcasts and creator content

The always-on hubs debuted with music artists at Coachella and now reach most YouTube regions outside Portugal, Switzerland, and Türkiye.

YouTube said Stations will cover creator content, media channels, podcasts, and select new music artists, widening a format that Tubefilter reported had been limited to music-focused channels at Coachella.

Stations are always-on streaming hubs that group videos by niche, giving viewers a lean-back experience similar to free ad-supported television on Roku or Samsung TV Plus.

In the Help thread post, YouTube wrote that Stations let viewers watch collections of videos from favorite creators and engage in real time with other fans in live chat.

YouTube started the pilot with a small group of music artists and said viewers will now start seeing Stations for a wide variety of new types of content.

For now, YouTube is offering Stations to a limited number of creators, and the feature is available nearly everywhere YouTube operates except Portugal, Switzerland, and Türkiye.
