Logan Paul scheduled a live peel for a five-million-dollar Pikachu
He bought two pre-production sheets for $100,000 each after an earlier peel graded PSA 9.
Logan Paul scheduled a live peel on October 29 for a CoroCoro Comic Pikachu he has pitched as a five-million-dollar card if it reaches PSA 10. The stream is his next attempt at the first known perfect grade on that issue.
The Pikachu came from pre-production sheets bound inside CoroCoro Comic number 223, among the first official Pokémon trading cards printed. Paul said no PSA 10 copy of that Pikachu is known to exist. He paid about $1.2 million for three sheets, peeled one on a live stream, and received a PSA 9.
Two more sheets appeared at auction in recent months. Paul bought them for $100,000 each and inspected centering and backs on tape. He called one sheet the best he had held, ran a light test on camera, and said it could grade a 10.
