MrBeast released The Most Dangerous Games book with a $1 million contest

He wrote The Most Dangerous Games with James Patterson, and a hardcover is the way in.

MrBeast released The Most Dangerous Games and attached a $1 million contest to the book. James Patterson is the co-author.

The novel is out Sept. 1, 2026, from William Morrow. "You can win $1,000,000 and all you have to do to enter is buy our brand new book," MrBeast said. The official rules are narrower than that line.

Buyers need a physical English print edition and a receipt. Registration runs Sept. 1 through Oct. 11 at themostdangerousgames.com. The games begin Sept. 14. Ten finalists then face him in a last challenge. The contest is open to residents of Australia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States except Maryland, age 18 and up. Finalists have to pass a background check.

In the story, a thousand strangers get an invitation and 100 make the cut. They compete to save humanity and to win $1 billion. The games start in Antarctica and move through shark water, desert, mountains, and caves. Then the other players become the threat.

MrBeast said he thought reading was boring growing up, so he partnered with Patterson.
