YouTube's Q3 ad revenue rose 9% to $11.2 billion

Alphabet reported the figure Wednesday as growth in YouTube’s ad business slowed for a fourth straight quarter and the parent missed Wall Street’s earnings targets.

YouTube took in $11.21 billion from advertising in the third quarter of 2026, up 9.2% from the same period a year earlier. The result fell short of what analysts had projected for the video platform’s ad line.

The pace marked a step down from earlier in 2026. YouTube ad sales had grown 11% in the first quarter and 13% in the second. In the year-earlier third quarter, the comparable figure had been 15%.

Parent company Alphabet missed analyst estimates on both revenue and profit for the quarter. Google Cloud revenue doubled in the same period, lifting Alphabet’s overall growth above YouTube’s ad line.
